Oatmeal Bread

Ingredients

  • 6 Cups Flour

  • 2 ½ Tsp. Salt

  • ½ Cups Molasses

  • 1 Cup Rolled Oats

  • 2 Cups Boiling Water

  • 2 Pkgs Yeast

  • 1/3 Cups Warm Water

Directions

  • Pour boiling water over oats and let sit ½ hour.

  • Add yeast last 5 min.

  • Add salt, molasses to stiffened oats and yeast.

  • Add 2 cups of flour stir then 2 more.

  • Use the rest as you knead.

  • Cover bread and let rise 2 hours.

  • Punch down and place in 2 greased loaf pans.

  • Let rise 1 hour.

  • Bake till golden brown.

  • Bake @ 350º 50 min
